Student Career Planning

You’ve been there.

Internships:  Thanks to your generosity, Shimer students are able to apply for funding to pursue internships that are unpaid or underpaid. Are you aware of a summer internship opportunity for a Shimer student?

Mentorships:  Give a Shimer student the benefit of your professional experience; sign on to be a mentor.

Job Opportunities:  Shimer students learn the skills employers appreciate (writing, critical thinking, problem solving) in the classroom. Help students find employment during the academic year or the summer.

Career Programming:  Participate in a career day or other career-oriented program. Contact us for information about scheduling.

Career Questions:  Make yourself available for an email exchange or phone call to answer a student’s specific questions about resumes, etiquette, interview tips, etc.
